We’re delighted you’ve found us!

Formed in 2000, Derry Playhouse Writers currently has a membership of around one-hundred. We are a support group for writers who attend our weekly sessions whenever they have a felt need to be with other writers so generally there are 8-10 on any given session. We meet every Wednesday afternoon, 1.00-4.00pm, at The Playhouse, 5-7 Artillery Street and we enthusiastically welcome new people.

Please look through this website to get a full description of all we have to offer—then join us one Wednesday afternoon to determine if we are the group you’ve been seeking. We especially welcome those of you who may have been experiencing the dreaded writer’s block syndrome—we will help you to weather and wrench out of it.
